[Paisleychick-lj] Shows from a week ago

Before I got sick this past week, and as Kragen was getting better, we went to two shows. The first was on Thursday, Oct 11. Isabel de Sebastian and her husband Bob Telson released their new [CD, Trip][5] and invited us to hear them sing at La Trastienda Club. They generously comped us tickets and we got front row seats. It was a great show. The band was jumping, the singing was gorgeous and it was a fun time. I took a [bunch of photos][6] and some of them came out. They're all grainy because I used such a high ISO (1600), but on the flipside there was little motion blur.   
  
The next night, Friday Oct 12, we went to the Expo Trastiendas Art Show as a friend of ours, [Ellen][7], had some of her lithographs on display. It was in a large exhibition hall, like the Art Expo we went to earlier this year. I took [more photos][8], but not that many. It was great to see her work on display and see all the other art. I love that we live in such a creative city and that the arts are so well supported here. The previous weekend was "La Noche de los museos" where *all* the museums of Buenos Aires were open in until 2 am on Saturday night and were free and some of the bus lines were free to get from barrio to barrio. This makes me happy. I have been told that living here now is much like living in Paris in the 1920s with all the art, in all her glorious forms, going on. We're going to an art exhibition of [Prilidiano Pueyrredon][9] on Sunday with Ellen after we have brunch at our new apartment, which unfortunately doesn't have internet access until sometime next week! So, we will be off line until there.
