I'm worried.  
  
This pretty feral cat hangs out here at the hotel and lounges in the sun. It bolts whenever I try to make contact, so it's not tame at all. It also has a habit of caterwauling loudly at night and getting into screaming matches with other cats and dogs as well. This morning - maybe around 5 or 6 or so (I don't really know), it was yowling up a storm! Dawn had not yet broken and so it was still very very dark. I opened up the window and clapped my hand. The cat looked my way and bolted and jumped for the tree and missed. I heard it fall through the leaves and kind of whimper when it landed I guess. I can't see over the wall into the garden of the next door neighbor's and I haven't seen the cat this morning. I am very worried that it hurt itself. I had a hard time getting back to sleep last night because I felt *so incredibly* bad. Kragen said that I was a good person because I was so empathetic with the cat. But, a fat lot of good empathy does when it can't help the cat. I hope s/he's okay and comes back and suns itself soon.
