Yesterday was summer solstice up here in the northern hemisphere. I just realized that it's my third summer solstice in a row. I think I'm going to go for four in a row this next December.  
  
Kragen and I drove the Magic Bus out to Fort Funston to see the longest sunset of the year on the longest day of the year. Believe it or not, I had never been to Fort Funston before, which is on highway 35 just on the San Francisco side of the San Francisco/Daly City border. We arrived a little after 8 pm and watched the sunset over the Pacific Ocean for the next 45 minutes. It was great. It was a little chilly as well as the wind blew up and over the high cliffs we sat atop. It was totally worth it though and I'm really glad we went out there. There were lots of dogs playing in the ice plant and tons of pelicans flying over the ocean.   
  
Being back in the Bay Area is wonderful and we're hoping to meet up with so many friends. Please drop us a line if you have time to get together sometime in the next couple of months and we'll work something out!!! Also, we've been looking for places to crash for a bit that are closer to people than my parents' wonderful place out in Bolinas, so if you're going out of town, or have a guest room with space, please keep us in mind.
