Yup, we've been busy as bees.... We have gotten a bunch of paperwork done for our residency visas, but we are not done yet. We might have to push back our departure date to make sure that we get everything done before we leave. D'oh!  We've been seeing lots of friends and family and that's been wonderful and tiring.  I've been taking lots of photos and am really glad to be able to see California and the Bay Area with fresh eyes.  I took this photograph at the getty center in Los Angeles and liked it so much that I printed it out and framed it as a gift for my father's birthday this month. I am going to get a digital SLR camera while I'm here and finally spend the Amazon.com gift certificates that my family got me for my birthday. _I wouldn't say no to any more. :D_ I think I'll make the purchase this weekend. I found a pretty good deal for a Nikon D40 with a couple of lenses. Anyone have any comments on that model or thoughts in general about dSLR cameras?  
  
I recorded a [Letter from A. Broad][19] with my mum that will air on [KWMR][20] next week.  I'll post more about that when it airs.  
  
My parents are back east for the next two weeks and so I'll be house-sitting out in Bolinas to take care of the animals and the farm. [![[info]][21]][22][**kragen**][23] will be floating around closer to SF and the peninsula/valley so that he can closer to people. Let me know if you have time for a day in the country - especially during the week.
