Damn, damn, damn! Kragen´s laptop was stolen this afternoon. We were having lunch outside at a nearby (to the hostel) cafe with some people from the hostel and his laptop disappeared. The laptop bag was at his feet, but the cord was not wrapped around his feet like he usually does. We´re trying to plug all possible identity theft holes we can think of. Man does this suck. Hopefully, they were just after the laptop for resale value and not after access to information, but you never know. Please be wary if you get contact from him as it might be someone purporting to be him and give him the once over. ;-) It´s most inconvenient and makes me very unhappy because we think that we were giving someone directions and they had an accomplice. It´s just *amazing* to me that we didn´t see anyone sneaking around between him and me or him and the other woman he was sitting next to. It disappeared as if by magic. What makes me really mad is that it makes me want to not help anyone again. If I hadn´t been distracted by giving the person directions, we would have been more aware. My father is always talking to us about being aware and this is one time we let our guard down. Maybe if we´d had Perry on the laptop like in the photo we would have been okay. Grr.
