February 13th - older journal entry just coming online now.  
  
We made our way from La Paloma back to Colonia del Sacramento (in Uruguay). We took two buses (changing in Montevideo) for a trip total of about 6 hours. Posada del Angel was our respite one more time. This posada is a lovely tranquil jewel of a hotel. There are around 10 rooms, and the place is decorated completely with angels. They went a little nuts, but it's cute at the same time. The garden out back is shaded by a fig, a  
citrus and I think a laurel tree. A kidney shaped pool takes up most  
of the ground, but there are enough lawn chairs that you can find a  
comfortable place to sit and write, photograph, sunbathe or nap, whatever you want to do. I took lots of photos and made [a set on flickr][5]. I got an email from the hoteliers saying they loved the photos, that was nice. They also asked about the key that Kragen manged to walk off with - not so nice. Ooops. We sent that back via FedEx and they got that, so we're all good. That's the second time we've done that, but we've always managed to return the keys, so it's not all bad.
