Almost a month ago, on March 21st, we met up with some friends from the CAFELUG (CApital FEderal Linux Users Group) here in Argentina to hear Kevin Johansen in concert. I can't believe it's been so long that I've written, but part of me thinks that hearing about the day to day stuff might not be so interesting as we're no longer traveling as such. Anyway, Kevin is not performing much this year as he's working on a new album, so it was a treat and his father was in the audience. You can hear some of his music on [his website][5]. It's worth listening to. And of course I took [photos][6]. He's an citizen of both Argentina and the United States and it appears to me he speaks both languages fluently, without any accent. When he's speaking English, you can definitely tell that he is from America and when he's speaking Spanish, he seemed like a fluent and funny speaker. His music was a very interesting mix of rock, tango, folk music, sweet melodies and catchy tunes. I liked it all. The concert was at the same place as the first concert we went to in November with Sarah, [La Trastienda][7].
We haven't gone back to San Telmo very much since we've been in Palermo. It's funny, but the neighborhoods are very distinct and you don't need to travel out of them for anything, unless there's something you want or need that is specialized in some way. Every kind of store you can think of is here. I have had fun exploring the different streets. There is a lot of high class clothes shopping around, very beautiful, but pretty expensive clothes and shoes, etc.
I really like how much we see music here. We have not yet been to any Tango yet - which I think is some sort of blasphemy, but I want to go to a real Tango place and not some cheesy tourist joint. I think some of my friends here in Buenos Aires should be able to tip us off to good places.
