I just wrote this to my mum and I thought I'd share.  
  
So I have a little story to tell....  
We used [Couchsurfing.org][5] to find people to stay with and locals to meet here in Latin America. We stayed with Marina and her family when we first got to Buenos Aires. She organized a Pillow Fight [via her blog][6]. We decided to go to a concert afterwards nearby, but we brought our pillows with us because we don't have anywhere to leave them. I took photos at both the pillow fight and at the concert. One guy from Buenos Aires also went to both the pillow fight and the concert. He noticed two people walking around with their pillows, but didn't say anything. We both took photos. We both uploaded them to [Flickr.com][7] and he found my photos. Click on the photo to see our first conversation. We've been chatting on line for the past month and haven't met in person yet. Today he told me he's taking English language classes at ["The Wall Street Institute"][8] and they are looking for a native speaker.  
Turns out, if I get the job I'll have to take the train. Our apartment, which we found via [Buenos Aires Craigslist][9] is about 5 blocks away from the train station.  
  
Serendipity.... and the internet. Gotta love it!!
