So, I was commenting on a friend's journal and wrote the following. I found it interesting enough, I thought I'd share and I also hope to get other points of view. Comments?  
  
Learning to love oneself if hard, but it is important. I remember getting into an argument with my then boyfriend when I was 17 or so. I said that it was impossible to fully love another person without loving yourself first. His reply was that he loved me, but not himself so there. I don't know if I fully love myself, but I accept myself and my body - two separate, but not completely different things. I don't know if this is the only journey we're on, but I have no proof either way, so if I don't come to terms now, then when? If I don't love myself now, then when? We are never good enough for ourselves, we are our harshest judges, juries and sometimes executioners, but we just got to cut that crap out. Yes, still keep striving to be the best we can be, but at the same time, just be and enjoy!
