jobs

Lots of folks I know seem to be losing their jobs or getting demoted.
Makes me sad. Fortunately, I'm not among them, although on Thursday,
AirWave (my new employer) fired one of my co-workers. He was the
other person they hired when they hired me.

Had Babylon 5 at our house on Thursday. Thirteen people carved
jack-o'-lanterns, chatted, snuggled, and ate. We mostly had beans,
rice, and corn tortillas.

We slept through Saturday's protest march here in SF, where 40 000
people marched to protest the war (according to the news media).
Apparently 100 000 people marched in the nation's capital.

We've been having nice relaxing time, despite my working a lot. I've
been getting up at 6:00 to 6:30, which is about three hours earlier
than usual, because Airwave practices XP, so we all need to be there
at the same time.
