Bea just started a new job, closer by, making more money, and in a
more pleasant working environment, on September 9th. So she's served
there nearly a month. She really likes it.
I started a new full-time job two weeks ago. So I should finally have
money again. (If my house in Dayton doesn't start swallowing it.)
Unfortunately, I still don't get my first paycheck for another ten
days.
Been very busy, as you might expect.
We're both very happy with our new jobs.
Missing family, mostly because I haven't taken the time to keep in
touch well. I lack postal addresses for many people whose postal
addresses I want, but I lack only a few email addresses.
Bea & I went to Santa Rosa, CA, last weekend for a fundraising ride.
She rode 131 miles to raise money for the multiple sclerosis
foundation; I don't know if they fund research or medical expenses or
what.
Went to see Lawrence of Arabia at the Castro Theater this week w/ Bea.
Beautiful film.
Using Red Hat 7.2 at work.
Looks like the PC business has serious trouble, for the first time;
it's been 26 years. There's a danger that the general-purpose PC may
become extinct.
There's also the danger of World War III starting, with my country
playing the role Germany played in World War II.
