Probably not too many -- if my experiment with gnuplot is any guide, 
it's a pretty subtle pattern.  You could do some inlay work in the 
gaps...

Somewhat related is a bathroom some friends of mine had redone: the 
tile borders consisted of various physical constants, in IEEE 
floating point format, with the bits represented by black or white 
tile.  The determination of which constants to use was made primarily
by aesthetic considerations of the encoding; many constants don't 
work too well as a tile border when entiled in IEEE FP, so the final
collection lacked any other sense of thematic unity.
